Hada
From the Japanese hada (肌, skin), and the expression hada ga au: literally, “skins meet”; used to describe a natural compatibility of temperament, feeling, and relation.
The name was chosen after time spent in Japan, including Naoshima, and reflects an idea that remained central: that meaningful relationships are built not only on what is seen and said, but also on intuition, trust, and a deeper sense of fit that is often difficult to articulate. It felt especially right for a practice conceived as a contemporary bottega: one built around people, and around the work of bringing them together through art. In that sense, art is both tangible and deeply relational: a material form through which sensibility, thought, and human relation are given form.
